L2Cache collects zero data about you. Everything stays on your Mac. We have no servers, no analytics, no accounts, and no way to see what you copy. Your clipboard is yours.
Nothing. L2Cache stores all data locally on your Mac in a SQLite database at ~/Library/Application Support/L2cache/. No data is transmitted to any server operated by us.
All clipboard history is stored exclusively on your device. L2Cache never uploads, transmits, or shares your clipboard content with anyone, including us.
Sensitive items are detected locally and stored as hidden, locked entries. Detected categories include: API keys (OpenAI, GitHub, Stripe, AWS, Slack, and others), credit card numbers, PEM private keys and certificates, US Social Security Numbers, WiFi credentials, and secret or password assignments in config and environment files. Their content is never displayed in plain text — unlocking requires Touch ID or your login password. They are never transmitted anywhere.
L2Cache uses on-device AI for content categorisation. All AI processing runs locally using Apple Intelligence or rule-based categorisation — no clipboard content is ever sent to any external server or AI provider.
L2Cache contains no analytics, no crash reporting services, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We have no idea how many people use the app or how they use it.
We share no data with any third parties because we collect no data. Simple.
L2Cache does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store.
If we ever change this policy, we will update the date at the top and note the changes in the app's release notes. Given our zero-collection approach, significant changes are unlikely.
